YUKO OBE

Yuko Obe is an artist currently living in Kyoto Japan and London UK.  Her background has ranged from clothing design for a Japanese company to the independent design and production of accessories and dolls.  While studying textile design in Paris she began expanding her art with other media including painting, illustration, printmaking and photography.  She has since completed a Master of Fine Art in printmaking at the Royal College of Arts in London.   Her creations show us a rich creativity with sharp and original images influenced by cross-cultural experiences. Yuko’s work gives us a hand-made-like warmth and humor, letting us into her imaginary world exploring mythology and societal issues.
